Setting up and managing threshold alerts
What this covers
How to create, configure, review, and update threshold alerts for vertical and horizontal displacement charts.
1. Open the alert setup panel
Go to the project with the displacement data stream. Two ways in:
- Click Set up alerts at the top of the page, or
- Click Set Alerts on the vertical or horizontal displacement chart.
The sidebar opens for alert configuration.
2. Set thresholds per target
Each target gets its own threshold, set separately for vertical and horizontal displacement. Thresholds are optional.
Allowed range: 1 mm to 499 mm.
3. Thresholds apply in both directions
A threshold covers positive and negative displacement. Set T2 to 3 mm, and you'll get an alert for displacement beyond +3 mm or −3 mm.
Repeat for each target, on each chart, as needed.
4. How the alert trigger works
Thresholds aren't backdated — monitoring starts the moment you set them.
If a target exceeds its threshold for more than 1 hour, the system generates an alert. Organization admins also get an email.
5. Review alert status
The status bar at the top shows the last 90 days:
- Green — no alerts triggered.
- Red — one or more alerts triggered that day.
Click into a red day to see which target triggered the alert, and when. Click the notification to jump to the exact measurement.
6. Update thresholds
Click Set Alerts again to reopen the panel. Adjust the threshold for the target and direction that needs changing, then close the panel. Monitoring continues under the new settings from that point forward.
