Configuring TotaLite Sensor
## How to configure the settings for the Sensor.

#### Sensor Settings
A user can adjust the sensor settings using the mobile app. The settings can be changed via TotaLite Platform. It is possible to do it from the [Project Page ](https://totalitehelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/articles/5928151999519)or [Device Page](https://totalitehelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/articles/5928248440351) by pressing pressing "Measurement Settings" or "Change Settings" accordingly.
The main settings to be changed are:
1. Measurement Interval, i.e. the frequency the sensor will take a measurement and upload it to the cloud.
2. LED Power decides how far away can targets be detected. A setup with targets on a larger distance requires more power. When the targets are closer we expect lower LED power.
#### Measurement Interval
Measurement interval is the time between each measurement set, which is in fact the measurement frequency, with system constraints:
* Minimum interval: 300 seconds (5 minutes)
* Maximum interval: 86400 seconds (24 hours)
* Common settings: 5, 15, 30 minutes; 1, 2, 4, 6, 12, 24 hours
You can set custom intervals within these limits based on your specific monitoring requirements.
**NOTE:**
* When setting the Measurement Interval, the time-frame should always be converted into seconds for a correct setting.

#### LED Power Settings
The LED Power is a critical configuration parameters which affect measurement quality and maximum range.
LED Power adjusts the strength of the infrared light on the targets, directly shaping the usable range. Higher power helps capture distant targets, whereas lower power gives better exposure for targets that are close.
* 100% power enables maximum detection range.
* Maximum effective range is 70m.
* Lower power settings should be used for closer targets to for better target detection and image processing (otherwise, the targets appear to be too bright which impedes the image processing).
* Adjusting LED power affects image quality and the system's ability to detect distant targets.
#### Power Consumption Considerations when powered by battery
Higher measurement frequencies significantly impact power consumption, as do cycle count and LED power settings:
* More frequent measurements = more power consumption
* Higher LED power = more power consumption
**NOTE:**
* Always consult with the TotaLite team for optimal measurement settings specific to your project conditions
#### Guideline for settings
When it comes to Power, here the reference will be outdoors in sunny light, which is the least favourable condition of operation.
* All targets within 3-10 m: 5%
* All targets within 10-20 m: 10%
* All targets within 20-50 m: 50%
* All targets within 50-70 m: 100%
**NOTE:**
* Keep in mind the risk of overexposure and effect of sunlight when configuring the device.
