Manage Project Reference Photos

Reference photos record how a device was set up and what the asset looked like at the time. This article explains how to view them and which ones you can replace.

Before You Start

  • You need access to the project in TotaLite.
  • To capture a field of view photo, you need the TotaLite mobile app.

Review and Replace Photos

1. Open the project

Open your project. The reference photos are at the top of the project page.

Three photo types are available:

  • Field of view: what the device sees.
  • Overall asset photo: the asset at the time of setup.
  • Device setup photo: how the device is mounted.

Use them to confirm how the device was installed.

2. Browse the photos

Select the photo area at the top of the page to open the image viewer. Browse through all three photos.

3. Replace a photo

You can replace the asset photo and the device setup photo. Upload a new image from your computer or an image library, then check it displays correctly in the project view.

4. Capture the field of view photo

The field of view photo cannot be replaced from the platform. Capture it in the TotaLite mobile app, which records the actual camera view.

Confirm the field of view image is correct before you leave site.

Good to Know

  • Capture all three reference photos during site setup so the project record is complete from the start.
  • Field of view photos can only be captured in the mobile app.
