When targets are missing
When targets are missing there are 3 options what might be the problem.
- Target is missing from the Field of View of the sensor, which is 60° horizontally and 45° vertically, for this, you will have to reposition the TotaLite until all targets of interest are in the field of view or consider a different monitoring set-up.
- Target is in the Field of View but doesn’t show on the image. This might happen either due to the target not being exposed enough with the LED from the sensor, for which you would have to increase LED Power such that exposure is increased and the target can be detected OR the prism is dirty and requires to be cleaned.
- Poor visibility overall, for example when there is thick mist. This is a tricky solution, weather or environmental conditions can be unpredictable and change over time, increasing LED Power for more exposure could help, yet, you should keep in mind that when the conditions fade away, there is a risk of target overexposure due to increased power so the settings should be brought to a more common operating condition.
